I’m feeling a bit plural this month: basking in the warmth of sunlight and hot rain that falls outside my art studio in Singapore, I am also longing for the cold UK weather that has become so synonymous with the festive season for me, having spent it in the England for the last 28 years. Next week I will be back in London, but for now, I am intrigued by the Singaporean weather which seems to go through several seasons a day, from monsoon-like rain to brilliant sun (but always forecasting thunderstorms as there is one somewhere on the island at any point).
Seeing how Christmas is tackled in a hot climate is rather interesting – real fir trees would not survive, so a lot of concept trees have popped up in Singapore. Below I respond to this week’s wordpress photography challenge with a few snapshots I took.
