For this week’s wordpress photo challenge, the theme is ‘Forward’, something I have been thinking about a lot recently with the beginning of the new lunar year – all the more important over here in Asia, at the beginning of the Chinese year of the snake. Below are a few images from my archive of documentation, exploration and inspiration in South East Asia which fit the theme for me. From decorations celebrating the new lunar year, to the hi-tec nature of Singapore, and the confluence of old and new in Asia.

Nice! I especially love the yellow lanterns above the street.
Thanks for the pingback
You are most welcome – The laterns were in the shape of a snake to symbolise the new year of the Snake. Inspired design, I am glad to have captured them. At night they were all lit up too.
Thanks so much for the pingback! I also like the shot with the yellow lanterns…
No problem! The laterns seem to be a hit – they were in the shape of a snake to symbolise the new year of the Snake. Inspired.
