I discovered Nicola Anthony’s artwork at a packed private view at West London art gallery, Debut Contemporary last summer. I vividly remember standing in front of ‘The Postbox’, one of her main sculptures for which she used text to create a different narrative and an object ot its own, in absolute awe and fascination. I was literally drown into the words, as well as the world of travels and encounters the postbox itself connoted.

Meeting with the enlightening artist who uses glass, paper and found objects in drawings and sculptures – as well as text, stories and voices as both materials and subjects – her passion for making art is just as palpable as the energy with which she talks about it.

Tell me a little bit about yourself

I’m a full-time artist, living and working in London. I went to Central Saint Martins and then to Loughborough School of Art.
