The repository of my dreams: from the Saga Seed Series

The repository of my dreams, Nicola Anthony, 2014. Saga seeds, glass tubes, book text, assemblage on paper,

In my artwork over the past two years, the saga seed has been a constant metaphor and subject. The Saga Seed Series has become symbolic of my time in South East Asia and I’ve had emails flooding in from people asking for my tips on where to collect these blood-red love seeds in Singapore. As well as larger installations, performances, TV coverage and archival projects, I have also made a limited collection of large wall-based seed artworks inspired my minerals, nature, Chinese and aboriginal formats.

The below is one of a new series of smaller works which makes the collection of saga seeds and saga seed artworks more accessible for all. This work will be available at the Bank Art Fair this November 20-23 (get free tickets here)
